Once a tooth has decay or fractures, the tooth must be restored to
its original shape and contour to prevent further injury to the tooth
while restoring function and aesthetics.
• Composite (Resin) Fills
These fillings are tooth colored and are matched to the color of
your teeth. Front teeth are mainly restored in this way. Back teeth
may be restored in the same manner if aesthetics are a concern.
• Silver Fills
Alloy fills may be used for posterior teeth with good results (less
expensive and wear longer) if aesthetics are not a concern.
• Gold Fills (Inlays/Onlays)
Gold may be used to fill teeth which result in the most durable and
biologically compatible filling.
