What is a Crown?

Crowns cover the tooth entirely with gold or porcelain material.

Why should I get a crown?

Due to decay or fractures some teeth need crowns to restore function and aesthetics in situations where fillings will no longer work.

• Gold

Recommended for posterior teeth where aesthetic concerns are minimal - solid gold is highly durable and will not fracture..

• PFM

Used in situations where aesthetics are a concern - has a gold substructure with porcelain fused to the gold.

• PJC

Solid porcelain crown - for select situations for optimal aesthetics.
